We are living in a very busy age, and our teens are living in a very crazy stage of life. Picture the pressures of finding your place in this world and your identity being challenged every moment. Now picture always being connected with people, so expectations go up, boundaries go down, and pressure to measure up intensifies. In a world with digital media, obstacles come in many forms. However, media has also presented us with many opportunities to engage people like never before. Instead of focusing on the negatives of living in a digital world in this post, let me offer you three FREE resources to encourage your spiritual walk throughout a busy week.
1. FREE eBook (until 2/20) – God Is For Us
Last fall, I had the privilege of writing and releasing a book entitled, God Is For Us: 4 Steps to Experiencing God’s Promises. For a limited time, this resource free to download on Amazon. We can conquer our greatest insecurities with the promises of God. Get the book to find out how. Over 1,000 people have downloaded the book in the past two days, so don’t miss this resource while it’s free.
2. iTunes – Ignite High School Ministry Podcast
We’ve recently relaunch our ministry podcast, but this time we’ve done so with a twist. We now post 5-10 recaps of our sermons on Tuesdays and Sundays. These podcasts provide a midweek boost to those who need it, without a large time commitment. If you teen misses a message, now he or she can stay connected with what we’re learning each week. Would you like to know what your kids are learning in High School Ministry? Check out our podcast and stay up to date. These podcasts can serve as refreshers for your kids or discussion starter for you and your teens.
3. Twitter – @ignitedisciples, Our Ignite High School Ministry Twitter Account
Along with staying up to date with our ministry activities and events, we try to encourage your news feed by posting bible verses twice a day. We strategically post right as your kids are going to school and when they are leaving school, with the hopes that if they check their social media accounts, we’re be encouraged from the Word of God.
Make it a great week, and God bless!
